PASALUBONG FROM THE VISAYAS: PINASUGBO

I remember this Pinasugbo from way back when, especially, when we were kids and we used to go to Talisay beach in Cebu.

The vendors would carry their baskets on their heads and sell their "hard bananas" as my young cousin Kim would call it.
We called it Canselba or Conselba....

Now, it is considered as a delicacy of Iloilo, and now called as "Pinasugbo" or of Cebu.

This is so yummy and I really like this!!!

  1. Oh wow these used to be some childhood treat! Now that you brought back the memories, these are what I'm going to give my little cousins at home and divert them from unhealthy junk food. =)

  2. Yup, times have changed and the availability of so much junk food diverts the kids from the more healthy treats!
